In Utah the Bureau of Land Management announced a dinosaur find, calling the quarry near Hanksville "a major dinosaur fossil discovery." An excavation revealed at least four plant-eating dinosaurs and two carnivorous ones dating back to about 150 million BC. (3)

President Monson paid a visit to Panama's president, Martin Torrijos and his wife, First Lady Vivian Fernandez de Torrijos. The occasion marked the first time a Church president had met with a Panamanian president. (5)
