At the 177th Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held on 31st March, 2007 Sister Julie Bangerter Beck was released as a counsellor in the Young Women general presidency and sustained as the new general president of the Relief Society. (1)

A recent Brigham Young University study shows how couples from Christian, Muslim, Jewish and other religious traditions draw on their beliefs to stay faithful to each other. (1)

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir embarked on a tour of the eastern United States and Canada, performing before a total of 50,000 people in nine concerts in seven cities. The choir returned to Salt Lake City July 3. (4)

Church membership has reached 13 million members, President Hinckley announced to 118 mission presidents and their wives during the New Mission Presidents Seminar at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah. He also announced that since the organization of the Church in 1830, an estimated one million missionaries have served throughout the world. (4)
