[Revelations] Kirtland, Ohio. Revelation of November 3, 1835. The Twelve are condemned for not being humble, coveting funds. William will return. The rest must pray and have faith. He will yet become a polished shaft in the Lord's quiver and none shall be mightier than he. He must repent or be brought low, but David Patten, Orson Hyde, and William E. McLellin are worse. Parable of the twelve sons.
Next month, when Orson learns that William is a secret partner in the church store and receives preferential treatment, he complains bitterly and asks Joseph to rescind the revelation. Orson Hyde's 1835 Complaint. (4)
