Church published first official proselyting outline for missionaries. (1)

[Utah] Six-mile Duchesne Tunnel is completed for irrigation. (3)

The First Presidency announced that returning missionaries would no longer report directly to General Authorities but, rather, to their stake presidency and high council. (4)

Church announced that missionaries would now report their missions to stake presidencies, not to general authorities. (1)

[Joseph Smith] Adam S. Bennion is ordained to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. (5)

Organization of the United Church School System, with Ernest L. Wilkinson as administrator, was publicly announced. (4)

President David O. McKay dedicates the site for the London Temple, now known as the London England Temple. (7)
