LDS Tithing Chronology

[Apostle Rudger Clawson] 2 p.m. Attendance [at Bannock Stake Conference] large. Pres. Snow said in conclusion, "The Lord loves you. He has blessed you in the past and will bless you in the future, but He wants you to pay your tithing in full. This is the word of the Lord to you through me." (1)

-- Saturday, Aug 26, 1899
[Apostle John Henry Smith] Conference convened at 10 a.m. President Lorenzo Snow dwelt upon the law of tithing for 85 minutes and in a most pleasing and forcefull manner. Bp. William B. Preston followed in the same strain, and with a most excelent spirit. ... Joseph E. Taylor made an interesting talk on the Law of tithing. (2)

[Apostle Rudger Clawson] The speakers were Pres. Snow and Bp. Wm. B. Preston. Topics treated: General improvements made in the stake during the past 20 years. Dealings of the Lord with the children of Israel. Exaltation and glory. Tithing. (1)

[Apostle John Henry Smith] The speakers were Hyrum M. Smith, J. Golden Kimball, LeRoy Snow, Joseph F. Smith, Lorenzo Snow, and Wm. Budge. Spoke on the Law of Tithing. (2)

[Apostle John Henry Smith] Prest. Lorenzo Snow spoke 48 minutes. Wm. B. Preston, Joseph E. Taylor, Abraham O. Woodruff and Anthon H. Lund. All spoke on the law of tithing. (2)
